I was recently approached to help create some branding photography for Redbreast Whiskey. What is branding photography? I’ve be getting this question a lot lately. Branding photography is a combination of many different photo styles used in an effort to help tell the visual story of a brand, company, person, or organization. When hired for a brand photography project, I’ll usually utilize a mix of photojournalistic + documentary style, commercial + product, lifestyle, architecture + space, and creative portrait photography. This photo story with Redbreast Whiskey was at the swanky Wingtip Club in San Francisco, CA, USA. Brand ambassador Luke Beard hosted an intimate gathering for cocktails and dinner. And, I was there to help tell the story. Images from the project have been used in social media, media PR releases, and in marketing + advertising. It was a fun evening and a great group of people. It also helps that the whiskey is delicious. A special thanks to my friends at The Narrative Group for making the magic happen.
