Karen and Kristoffer had a truly international wedding celebration this past summer. “Among the guests, there will be 27 different languages spoken,” Kristoffer mentioned during our planning meeting. The ceremony was at the gorgeous St. Mary Mother of God Church in Washington, DC. And for the reception we journeyed north to the rolling hills of Poolseville, MD and Rocklands Farm. The farm is an absolute oasis. According to their website, “through the practice of holistic agriculture, Rocklands Farm feeds, nourishes, and engages the local community.”
Karen and Kristoffer were living in New York when they first contacted me about photographing their wedding. We were in different cities, but video conferences made the initial planning easy. I was immediately attracted to their sense of style and their laid-back, comfortable approach. Here are a selection of photographs from their wedding.
